Marty Music & the BOSS Katana

Hey what’s up you guys? Marty Schwartz here! I often get asked about the BOSS Katana and why it is my amp of choice, how I use it to make my YouTube lessons, and so much more. There's a reason that I’ve stuck with it for many years now!

Read on to find out more about how I use the BOSS Katana, but first the below video may help!

“I've released hundreds of lesson videos using the Boss Katana & been rocking it at all my live performances. It truly is the best bang for your buck & it's never let me down!”

My Lesson Tones

The Katana can achieve sounds that span many decades. From Nirvana to The Beatles and Metallica to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I have never struggled to find a good tone that matches up to some of the most iconic guitar sounds. It’s so easy, and that's why I have used it to create hundreds of YouTube lessons.

Recording the Katana

Awesome audio is paramount to my online lessons, and that’s why I am so glad that the Katana has both a direct line out and a USB output. I can record my Katana sounds directly for minimum hassle, and you get perfect sound every time, without the need for additional equipment. My top tip is to use the free BOSS Tone Studio software for advanced editing capabilities.

My Preferred Gigging Amp

I’ve shared the stage with some of Nashville’s finest musicians, and the Katana can keep up with some killer rigs! Adding the GA-FC (EX) to my setup, I can create patches and easily switch between them for any playing situation. If you think the Katana can’t keep up, think again! This thing rips!
